Make sure your mix meets these criteria
Simply upload your mix, show or concept using the form below, making sure it meets the following criteria:
- Mix MUST be either 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes in duration (+/- 2 minutes).
- You mix MUST have either a ‘Genre’ (e.g. Tech House), ‘Topic’ (e.g. The History of House) or both to be eligible.
- Any microphone usage must be restricted to 30 minute intervals and must follow the Microphone Guidance.
- Recording format should be WAV or AIFF, 320kbps, 44.1k and less than XX Mb.
- Recordings MUST be submitted by providing a PRIVATE download link such as SoundCloud, WeTransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive etc.
- If you have a matching video with NO overlays on on-screen graphics, please upload this too and we’ll feature it as a premiere on YouTube if/when your show is live ‘on-air’.

What type of music can I play?
We accept all genres, sub-genres, obscure sub-genres and more from the EDM category. So whether that's commercial Dance/Electro through Drum & Bass, Dutch Hardcore or Reggaeton.
Can I record my own talk-show/podcast or content on a specific subject?
Of course! We're all for diversity and expression. So if there's a specific subject or topic you'd like to record as a show for The Desistance, let's hear it! As long as the subject is related to The Desistance or EDM music, we're all for it.
Do I have to speak during/over my recording?
No not at all! Our production jingles and soundbites will be overlaid at regular intervals over your recording, including introductions to you and your show - so there's no need to get on the mic.
Of course you can if you want to, provided you follow our Station Guidelines.
When will I know if my mix is successful?
We usually review mixes within 48 hours and will drop you an email to the address you provide to confirm and intention to broadcast your show. We will then work to include your show at least once within our schedule. Please note our schedule currently runs 2 weeks in advance.
If successful, will my show be broadcast more than once?
It's very possible that if we like your show and feel we can promote it at different times of the day to suit different audiences, we could broadcast it more than once.
Can I submit a video file or recording of a livestream?
If you have a video recording of your mix then please also submit it as we'll schedule a corresponding YouTube live premiere at the same time as your broadcast (if successful).
However, we cannot accept videos with overlays or live-stream chat (including microphone audio). Any video must also be supplied separately from the audio-only file.
