The Desistance is the official online community and internet radio station for Cease & Desist, owned, controlled and operated by Cease & Desist Ltd, a wholly owned UK registered company.
We firmly believe (and see on a daily basis) outstanding artists, DJ’s and producer over-looked or stumble across releases that have had only 1% of the streams and share that they deserve simply “missing” from the more commercial charts. We don’t do “politics”, we’re not here to “milk the cows” and we certainly don’t believe in receiving £0.003p per stream royalties from multi-million pound organisations who are dictating and commanding the market that we serve.
Cease & Desist is built and created by artists, for artists. We aim to disrupt the market and the perception of EDM artists/producers by increasing promotional opportunities and providing major label-style support at artist-realistic royalty shares.
The Desistance is built by you. Fans of electronic dance music who just want to vibe. We’re with you. We are The Desistance.
The Desistance is the official fanbase and community for Cease & Desist records and events.
The Desistance features an exclusive 24/7 EDM internet radio station along with DJ's and Presenters, Guest DJs and sponsors along side the management and promotion of Cease & Desist events such as our soon-to-be-announced UK Launch Party!
Anything and everything Cease & Desist can be discussed, heard, booked or purchased through the official Desistance website including event tickets, DJ mix submissions and merchandise as well as links to the live radio, our official Discord Server and social media channels.
RadioEventsDiscordCease & Desist is the parent and UK registered company of The Desistance community. Cease & Desist is a record label, event promoter and in-house marketing team with their own internet radio station via The Desistance.
With a focus on electronic dance music (EDM), Cease & Desist was founded in 2024 after a two-year research and development exercise with a focus on finding, releasing and promoting AWESOME EDM music, artists, producers and DJ's, regardless of their social media status.
Cease & Desist do not request up-front payment to release a record (or for "marketing services"). Nor do they rinse artists of huge commissions and royalties for their work. Equally, they don't release every track they hear or focus on a volume-type business model.
Their back-to-basics, "it's all about the music" approach aims to assist by providing:
