Founder of Cease & Desist Records and The Desistance Radio, Alphajay first stepped behind the decks in 1994 during the emergence of Happy Hardcore but can now be found spinning 3-4 decks of prime Tropical & Funky House, Tech & Bass House, Techno and Drum & Bass.

Whilst originally starting on belt-drive turntables, Alphajay soon transitioned to the original twin CD decks from manufacturers such as KAM and Denon, long before Pioneer’s CDJs took hold of the market.

Turning his hand to production in 1999, Alphajay continued within the Hardcore and Jungle genres before stepping away for over 20 years!

Guess who’s back

Making his return in 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Alphajay balanced his love of all EDM genres playing a selection Drum & Bass, Tech/Bass House, Techno and dance/electro pop. After winning the community-led contest and subsequently taking part in the HYPEFAM.Global 12 Streams of Christmas in December 2023, Alphajay returned to the club-scene playing at Cafe Parfait in Southampton and Boom Room’s 1st Birthday Bash in Weston-super-Mare during the first quarter of 2024.

As a Producer

Back into production, Alphajay released two melodic/tech house tracks with G-Mafia Records in 2023. At the beginning of 2024, Alphajay dropped two unofficial remixes of James Hype & Tita Lau’s Vibrate and On The Ground (with ASPECT (UK)) amassing over 12,000 streams combined to date. Expect to see at least 6 more tracks released through Cease & Desist Records and others over the course of 2024.

Known as the “man in the mask”, Alphajay pops up frequently providing pre-recorded sets and live shows throughout The Desistance Radio whilst managing the station and of course, Cease & Desist Records.
